The Advanced Diploma experience

Laura's in Year 12 and studying the Advanced Diploma in Engineering. Engineering is a very broad subject and, through the Diploma, Laura's getting a taste of many different areas. It's given her the chance to consider what she wants to do later on and she's decided that she'd like to do the Tonmeister Degree in Music and Sound Recording.

The Diploma attracted her because it combines a high level of theoretical understanding with the chance to do something 'hands on and creative'. The practical approach suits her and she's even enjoyed the assessments, which have involved creating something with what she's learned - just the sort of thing she hopes to do in her sound engineering career.
