Jason's story

Jason has a range of career ideas that include computer programming, law and animation. He is an able student and is good at a wide variety of subjects including mathematics and science. He has chosen to study a range of subjects at A level which will enable him to keep his career options open:

'I chose the subjects that I am good at and that I enjoy, whilst also taking into account my career ideas. I want to be able to change my plans if my ideas change, and I also like studying a range of different subjects because it adds variety.'

Jason chose to study A level graphics, ICT, mathematics and critical thinking at sixth form and plans to go on to higher education. He is keeping an open mind about his choice of higher education course and plans to decide when he has received his AS results.

'Doing a range of A levels will be useful for any course that I want to do at university and for any profession. Getting good grades will hopefully mean that I will be able to choose between a wide range of degree courses.'
