Ebere first met with his Connexions personal adviser in school at the end of Year 10. At this point, he was interested in a career related to engineering and wanted some more information about Apprenticeships, which he had recently seen advertised on television.
Ebere met his Connexions personal adviser several times in school during Year 11, where they discussed the option of doing an Apprenticeship and also of continuing in full-time education to study for further qualifications, either in the sixth form or at college. As a result of these sessions, Ebere became aware of the post-16 routes open to him.
Now in his school's sixth form, Ebere is studying A levels in mathematics, physics, ICT and sociology.
Ebere has forged a successful working relationship with his Connexions personal adviser and they continue to have discussions about the most suitable progression pathways for him once he has completed his A levels.
Ebere plans to apply to university to study for a computer science course, but first he wants to take a gap year during which he intends to get a job to give him some relevant work experience.
