Seek information and impartial advice

Dominic's in Year 12 and taking A Levels in maths, further maths, chemistry, physics and English literature. He chose these subjects after seeking advice from as many people as possible on how to keep his options open.

'There are many career options in the modern world so it can be difficult to decide which route to take. After my GCSEs I chose to stay on at school and go into the sixth form to gain more qualifications. I found the Connexions personal adviser really helpful in researching my path ahead. I also found the internet useful, as well as talking to my friends and family.'

Looking ahead, Dominic thinks he'll go on to university and possibly do a degree in engineering.
