Connexions Direct - Schools and Colleges

Young people can talk individually to an adviser on-line while at school or college.

If a whole class or group tries to access the service at once it may stop a young person in need getting through. If you want to access Connexions Direct as part of a lesson, please email teachersupport@cxdirect.com to discuss your requirements in advance.

New Practitioners Guide 2009/10

Make the most of Which way now? and It's your choice

A guide for teachers, tutors and advisers on helping students choose their key stage 4 and post-16 options

This practitioners' guide offers suggestions for making more effective use of two Connexions booklets:

  • Which way now? - giving advice and information on how to choose key stage 4 options
  • It's your choice - giving advice and information for students on how to choose post-16 options.

This guide is to help school staff fulfil their responsibilities as 'first-in-line' providers of careers education, and information, advice and guidance (IAG). It will also enable them to support parents, carers and guardians in helping their children to make wise choices.
