Choices in Year 9

Year 9 Options

You are not alone if you find the idea of making your choices is a bit scary, but it is actually your opportunity to take control of your education and shape the way you want your future to be.

The options you choose for Years 10 and 11 will affect how you spend your time at school for the next two years. The choices you make may also influence what course or job you decide to do after Year 11.

Remember that you are not alone in making these decisions; everyone in Year 9 is going through the same process. That's why the government has produced the 'Which Way Now?' and 'It's Your Choice' publications.

'Which Way Now?' is designed to help you with your option choices during Year 9.

'It's Your Choice' has been written especially for young people who are nearing the end of Year 11, and who will be deciding how best to gain the career and the life that you want. It's still worth having a look at 'It's Your Choice' now as it will help you to understand the choices that you will be facing in two years.

You may have seen both of these publications at school but they are also available online.

'Which Way Now?' can be found at: www.connexions-direct.com/whichwaynow/.

'It's Your Choice' can be found at: www.connexions-direct.com/itsyourchoice/.

You can visit both of these sites for helpful information on making those important decisions.
