What you need to know

There is financial support available specifically for young people looking to continue learning after GCSEs. What you can claim can depend on your individual circumstances, but it's a good idea to find out your options to help you decide the right next step for you.

What you can do

  • Think about what course or training you would like to do and work out what costs might be involved. For example: transport, books or materials, living expenses.
  • Find out what funds and support you can get.
  • Discuss the options with someone you trust, such as a parent, carer, careers adviser or your Connexions Direct Adviser.
Advisers are here between 8am and 2am. Talk to us in confidence >>
