Youth Opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund

What you need to know

The Government is giving your local authority money for two exciting new funds.

The funds will help you to get involved in choosing, funding and running activities for young people in your area.

The funds are called the Youth Opportunity Fund and the Youth Capital Fund.

What you can do

  • Look out for the Youth Opportunity Fund poster on display in your area. It has been designed to encourage you to approach your local authority and get involved.
  • Become a member of the decision making panel, you will assess the bids coming in and decide who gets the money.
  • Come up with ideas of what you would like to do in your area and make an application as a Project Leader
  • Use and support the new facilities on offer in your area as a result of the funds.
