Organisations with Youth Divisions

What you need to know

By joining an organisation with a youth division you will be able to receive excellent training, learn new skills and gain useful experience that will be an asset on your CV.

What you can do

  • If you are aged between 10 and 18 years old you could join St John Ambulance as a Cadet.
  • If you are aged between 10 and 12 you can join the Sea Cadets Junior Section
  • If you are aged between 12 and 18 you can join the Sea Cadets and the Army Cadets.
  • To be an Air Cadet you will need to be aged 13 to 20.
  • If you join any of these organisations you could have the opportunity to travel both within the UK and abroad.
  • Joining one of these groups might give you an insight into certain jobs and what they might be like as a career.
